The iLivid Download Manager is a small utility that allows users to actually preview their videos before and during downloading. This makes it easy to decide whether or not to continue or abort the download. This can save a tremendous amount of time and reduce frustration associated with waiting for unwanted files to be saved on a local disk.
The file is small and requires less than 2MB of disk space, and installing the program is pretty straightforward. It works with most browsers, and there is not a lot to learn as far as getting it configured and up and running.
The iLivid video downloader works best when a link is cut and pasted into the menu. The program will follow the link, and it can be opened for a preview if desired. It is important to note that this utility does not accelerate downloads as quickly as others. Some video files will not open and play until the download is completed as well. It may take some time to become familiar with various settings and options, and there is not a lot of detailed documentation that explains the capabilities of this program.
Its small size and preview capabilities may make this an interesting utility to download and install. However, there are quite a few managers out there that will do the same thing, so it may be a good idea to try some other utilities as well. All in all, this is a good and reliable program, but the issue is whether or not it really stands above all of the other tools that are currently available.
